Recently Alan was part of a consultation with the Department of Education in relation to alternative education provision. He is a great voice for young people who find themselves outside the mainstream school system-he was interviewed recently by a journalist from the Irish Times and has also been chosen to feature in a documentary being filmed at the Cork Life Centre in the coming year. In the future Alan would love to be a youth worker or work in a supportive capacity with young people. He has applied to study Leisure and Recreation following his Leaving Certificate.
