Emma Farrell

Dr Emma Farrell is a Postdoctoral Fellow at the School of Education, University College Dublin. She is also Education and Training Officer at Jigsaw, the National Centre for Youth Mental Health – an organisation Emma has been involved with since its inception in 2006. Her Ph.D., awarded from the School of Education TCD, adopted a hermeneutic phenomenological approach to understanding the lived experience of third level students with mental health difficulties, and the meaning students ascribe to these experiences. Emma was appointed as Co-Chair of the Youth Mental Health Taskforce Youth Reference Group with Niall Breslin in July 2016 and is a member of the Council of Gaisce, The President’s Award.
