Jessica Curtis

Jessica is a Fund Manager with Social Innovation Fund Ireland.

She graduated with an M.A. in Drama and Theatre from NUI, Galway following undergraduate studies in Speech and Language Therapy in the UK. Jessica has worked in the Education, Disability, Arts and Community Development sectors in Ireland creating local and strategic partnerships to develop innovative ways to effect positive social change. Jessica is focused on capacity building with marginalised groups, supporting mental health recovery, and exploring participatory arts and social inclusion. She is also an Advanced Level WRAP (Wellness Recovery Action Plan) Trainer. Her work is informed by her study of optimism, social role valorisation theory, community development principles as well as the values that underpin the recovery philosophy.

Jessica will complete an MSc Mental Health Recovery and Social Inclusion with the University of Hertfordshire in 2019.

When she’s not working on her tiny dream home in the West, Jessica likes to (privately) sing along to musical numbers at the top of her voice… and occasionally dips her toe in the Atlantic.
